CAPRICE CLASSIC 1977

1977 drog man ner på storleken på Chevrolets fullsize-modeller, en första våg av krympning som skulle slå mot alla modeller under de kommande åren.
De nya, mindre fullsize-modellerna var 14 cm kortare och 10 cm smalare - men drygt 6 cm högre.
Både Impalan och Capricen behöll sitt "stora" utseende och rymliga inre, men blev drygt 350 kilo lättare.
Caprice-grillen fick ett mer finmaskigt galler och de infällda lamporna på stötfångarna fick en ny placering.

Den nya Caprice röstades fram som årets bil 1977 av tidskriften Motor Trends. Tidskriften ansåg att Capricen var "den bästa bil man kunde få för pengarna" och applåderade modellens "underskattade elegans".
